Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Gets Groovy Posters and Reveals Episode Titles

In approximately one month, we’ll finally witness the start of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 on Paramount+. The wait has been prolonged due to a 2023 Writers Guild Strike that paused the third season production. This delay followed the suspenseful ending of season two. However, on July 17, Captain Pike and his Enterprise crew will grace our screens once more for fresh explorations across the Final Frontier. In anticipation, Paramount+ has unveiled a collection of new character posters showcasing the bridge crew. You can view them all in the gallery provided below.

The images from the cast of “Strange New Worlds” strongly bring to mind the cover art for ’70s and ’80s Star Trek novels. During that time, with few movies being released and limited reruns on TV, these books were a lifeline for Trekkers, offering fresh adventures at regular intervals. While they weren’t officially part of the series, fans eagerly devoured them. Many of these novels featured eye-catching painted covers by renowned fantasy/sci-fi artists like Boris Vallejo. These “Strange New Worlds” posters evoke a sense of nostalgia in us all.

Furthermore, Paramount+ has disclosed the names for every episode in season three’s ten episodes. “The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail” seems to focus on Spock, as a Sehlat was his pet when he was a child on Vulcan. Interestingly, another episode is called “Four-And-A-Half-Vulcans,” which might be the one shown at Comic-Con last year, where the crew becomes logically-minded Vulcans. The season finale is titled “New Life and New Civilizations,” reminiscent of the opening monologue since the time of William Shatner, and we’ll see how it connects to the 60-year history of Star Trek.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season three premieres on Paramount+ with two episodes on July 17.
