As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the next chapter in our Genshin Impact journey, Space and Time for Me, is set to launch on June 18, 2025! This lore-rich update promises significant advancements for the narrative ahead. I can hardly wait to see where these major developments will take us!

Version 5.7 offers an annual exploration into the mythos, featuring Dainsleif alongside two fresh characters, as well as a variety of events and system upgrades. It seems the Abyss is gearing up to launch another attack on Teyvat, despite its previous encounter in Natlan. Moreover, the enigmatic Loom of Fate, which we’ve been exploring with Dainsleif, appears to be activated at last. Oh, did someone mention a spaceship?

The upcoming version of Genshin Impact, 5.7, is scheduled for release on June 18, 2025, and can be played on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as on iOS and Android devices.

Genshin Impact 5.7 story & characters

The captivating narrative of the title’s primary tale unfolds with the Archon Quest: A Time and Space for You. The Abyss Order reappears in Natlan despite previous setbacks, leading the Traveler and Dainsleif to probe further. Their findings are so startling that even the Twilight Sword leaps into battle, offering us a glimpse of his formidable combat skills.

The latest update includes the “Skirk Story Quest: Crystallina Chapter – Act 1”. In an unexpected meeting, Skirk lends a hand to the Traveler in resolving an issue that only her unique skills can tackle.

In the update 5.7 of this open-world RPG, two new playable characters are introduced: Skirk, a 5-Star character who specializes in Cryo damage and fights with a sword. Unlike other characters, she doesn’t require Elemental Energy to activate her combat abilities; instead, she draws power from the teachings of Surtalogi the Foul, her mentor. The second new character is Dahlia, a 4-Star support type who deals Hydro damage and also fights with a sword. Both Skirk and Dahlia will be featured on the Genshin Impact 5.7 banners along with some rerun characters.

Genshin Impact 5.7 events

Genshin Impact 5.7 will contain the following time-limited and permanent events:

  • Battle of Imagined Arrays – auto-chess event; rewards include 4-Star character Sethos and Primogems.
  • Fearsome Ferocious Firepower – turret shooting event; rewards include Primogems.
  • Reminiscent Regimen: Frenzy – co-op combat event; rewards include Primogems.
  • Stygian Onslaught – permanent combat challenge that allows players to farm Artifact Sets; rewards include Primogems and Dust of Enlightenment.
  • Traveler’s Tales: Gilded Chapter – fresh character encounters and anecdotes await on the map; rewards include Primogems.
  • Overflowing Abundance – double drops from Talent and Weapon domains.

Genshin Impact 5.7 features & changes

The novel piece, “Dust of Enlightenment,” offers the ability to re-roll sub-stats on Artifacts. This means players can select their preferred two stats, potentially simplifying the process of creating powerful Artifact Sets.

2 Extra Echo Challenges are coming up, where players can earn rune tracks for the characters Raiden Shogun and Shenhe by completing them.

Or

Players will have 2 new Echo Challenges to attempt, which they can clear to gain rune paths for the characters Raiden Shogun and Shenhe.

Or

Two more Echo Challenges are being added, giving players a chance to acquire run tracks for Raiden Shogun and Shenhe upon completion.

The latest Genius Invokation TCG update will add Mavuika, Citlali, and Chasca as character cards.

On the technical side, developers have designed a system for managing game resources in an efficient manner, particularly for mobile gamers. For instance, if you primarily use your phone to complete daily tasks in Genshin, you can delete most resources associated with story quests. If later on, you decide to embark on a story mission, the game will download only the necessary resources for that specific content, reducing storage usage.
