In simpler terms, the much-anticipated update 5.7 for Genshin Impact introduces a new character who could potentially shed light on some of the most enigmatic mysteries surrounding the world of Teyvat.
Skirk, who made a striking appearance towards the end of Fontaine’s Archon Quest and was unveiled as Tartaglia’s seasoned combat instructor, has sparked great interest. What’s even more fascinating is that Skirk received training from one of the powerful Sinners upon her arrival in Teyvat from another dimension, much like the Traveler. Needless to say, she’s a character full of mystery.
In Update 5.7, you’ll find the addition of Dahlia, the cleric from Mondstadt who was previously presented to us.
Or, more casually:
Update 5.7 brings a familiar face, Dahlia, the cleric we met in Mondstadt last time around.

Genshin Impact 5.7 banners: Phase 1
From June 18, 2025, when update 5.7 is released, you’ll have the opportunity to summon these characters:
Both versions convey the same meaning but use slightly different wordings to make it more engaging and easier to read.
- Banner #1: Skirk (5-Star, Cryo, Sword), Dahlia (4-Star, Hydro, Sword), and two 4-Star characters
- Banner #2: Shenhe (5-Star, Cryo, Polearm), Dahlia (4-Star, Hydro, Sword), and two 4-Star characters
Skirk
Skirk’s fighting approach is significantly shaped by the tutelage of Surtalogi the Foul, her guide. Unlike conventional Vision Holders, she doesn’t rely on Elemental Energy for her powers; instead, she accumulates Serpent’s Subtlety to empower her abilities. She can generate Void Rifts when her teammates trigger Elemental Reactions, which she can then absorb to gather more Serpent’s Subtlety and enhance her combat effectiveness. Skirk primarily works well with Freeze teams, as she enjoys unique advantages from Cryo and Hydro allies. However, her Void Rift creation is compatible with all reactions related to Cryo.
Shenhe
In simpler terms, Shene is an effective Sub DPS (Substitute Damage Per Second) and Support character for teams that focus on Cryo (freezing) elements. Her special ability generates Cryo effects from afar over a wide area, reducing the resistance of enemies within this area to Cryo, which significantly boosts her team’s overall damage. Additionally, her abilities provide various beneficial effects to her teammates.
Dahlia
Dahlia is a unique character from Hydro, who specializes in enhancing Plunging Attacks. He has the ability to strategically deploy his skill on the battlefield; it can function as either an explosive mine to harm enemies or a trampoline for teammates, enabling them to gain altitude. Furthermore, he can safeguard his allies and boost their attack speed.
Genshin Impact 5.7 banners: Phase 2
Three weeks from now, the banners in the game will be updated on July 9, 2025, right at the midpoint of the game version. This change will introduce the following characters:
- Banner #3: Mavuika (5-Star, Pyro, Claymore) and three 4-Star characters
- Banner #4: Emilie (5-Star, Dendro, Polearm) and three 4-Star characters
Mavuika
Mavuika is versatile, capable of functioning as either a primary damage dealer (Main DPS) or secondary damage dealer (Sub DPS), depending on your preferred team setup. She can be an overwhelming force in combat or offer various off-field attacks to bolster her teammates. As Natlan’s Archon, she primarily works well with other characters from the region and interacts with the Nightsoul Points system.
Emilie
In simpler terms, Emilie is a Sub DPS (Secondary Damage Per Second) character who excels in teams that focus on Burning attacks. She significantly boosts the Burning damage for the entire team and even more so for herself. Since her abilities primarily work off-field, she makes an excellent secondary source of damage for characters who need more active participation.
