The distinctive New York City boutique, Colbo, is generating a stir within the fashion world not just due to its carefully selected multi-brand assortment, but also its own in-house designs. Recently, it has collaborated with Sperry to reimagine their classic Authentic Original Boat Shoe.
At Paris Fashion Week last month, the collaboration unveiled a modern twist on the traditional boat shoe, featuring a dismantled construction. The shoes have been carefully worn and washed to give them an antique vibe, complementing a sole made from leather reminiscent of Sperry’s vintage models from the ’70s and ’80s. The heel can be collapsed, adding flexibility in styling options. The color schemes “Weathered Sahara” and “Distressed Taupe”, both with shades of brown, emphasize the buttery soft leather.
The Colbo x Sperry Authentic Original Boat Shoes sold out rapidly during their initial release through Colbo. Nevertheless, some sizes can still be pre-ordered from the brand’s website for delivery on July 18. Sperry plans to make their shoes available starting July 14, priced at $225 USD. Keep an eye out for further news, as it seems another collaboration between these two brands is in the pipeline and set to launch this fall.
