James Gunn Reveals Metahuman Superman Posters and Shocking New Dawn for DCU

This summer, James Gunn will unveil a series of character posters introducing the metahumans of the DC Universe in the movie “Superman”.

The posters showcase David Corenswet portraying the Man of Steel, Krypto as the Super Dog, Robot #4, voiced by Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi in the role of Mister Terrific, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.

Marketing has been ramping up, and there’s been lots of merchandise revealed and such.

On July 11, 2025, “Superman,” the inaugural DC Studios movie produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, will grace the big screen. This film, helmed by director James Gunn, presents a fresh perspective on the Man of Steel, focusing on his compassionate nature and faith in mankind. The story unfolds within the revamped DC universe.

In the movie, which is brought to you by Gunn and Peter Safran, David Corenswet portrays Superman/Clark Kent, while Rachel Brosnahan takes on the role of Lois Lane. Nicholas Hoult steps into the shoes of Lex Luthor in this production. Furthermore, the ensemble includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Neva Howell.

Backstage talent from Gunn’s previous team reunites, featuring cinematographer Henry Braham, production designer Beth Mickle, costume designer Judianna Makovsky, music maestros John Murphy and David Fleming. The editing duties are entrusted to William Hoy, Jason Ballantine, and Craig Alpert.

The movie, titled Superman, is being overseen as an executive producer by Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars Winther. It’s a joint venture between Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company. The film will debut internationally on July 9.
