Talk to Qurban To Start the Quest

To start The Abyss Beckons side quest, approach Qurban, who can be found inside Cuanacht close to the Shrine of Croakmaw, in a place called the Pit. Qurban is a knight watching over a chasm he calls the Abyss. He shares that his objective is to protect Avalon from impending destruction by offering countless lives as a sacrifice. He invites you to join him and carry on this mission by becoming his apprentice.

1. If you agree, he’ll plunge into the Void, placing his possessions and responsibilities in your hands. Conversely, you have the option to disprove his convictions by eliminating the knight.

2. If you say yes, he’ll jump off into the Chasm, giving you his assets and tasks. Alternatively, you can choose to refute his ideals by slaying the knight.

3. If you accept, he’ll leap into the Abyss, delegating his items and obligations to you. Or, you could opt to dismantle his beliefs by taking out the knight.

4. If you consent, he’ll dive into the Crevasse, passing on his belongings and tasks to you. Otherwise, you can choose to contradict his convictions by vanquishing the knight.

Enter the Ghost Realm

Once Qurban has vanished, I’ll descend into the cave’s depths, where I’ll encounter a chilling scene of piled corpses and peculiar beings. Battling the Wyrdspirits, I’ll press on, seeking a mysterious gateway. Stepping up to the portal will whisk me away to a spectral realm.

Destroy the Fae Relic

In this ghostly domain teems with Faes and Wyrdspirits. Tread the path, vanquish the Wyrdspirits to ascend a mysterious barricade. Once you’ve scaled it, more Faes await. Battle your way forward by overcoming the Faes until you encounter an unusual statue. Beyond that statue lies the Fae Relic. Assault the relic to shatter it, transporting you back to the ordinary world. Completing this mission marks the end of The Abyss Beckons side quest.
