‘Masters of the Universe’ Live-Action Movie Wraps Filming as Actor Kojo Attah Shares Set Moments

After wrapping up the shooting of the forthcoming live-action He-Man movie, actor Kojo Attah commemorated the occasion by sharing numerous backstage images and clips from the set on his social media platforms.

The material offers fans a behind-the-scenes peek into the making process, showcasing laughter, wardrobe, and on-set activity.

In the film, Kojo Attah assumes the character Triclops, joining an ensemble that comprises Nicholas Galitzine portraying He-Man, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Camila Mendes playing Teela, and Jared Leto stepping into the role of Skeletor.

In this new cast, Alison Brie takes on the role of Evil-Lyn, Sam C. Wilson becomes Trap Jaw, and Morena Baccarin adds to the roster as the Sorceress.

In this upcoming movie, it’s Travis Knight, famed for his work on “Kubo and the Two Strings” and “Bumblebee,” who’s taking charge as director. He invited Chris Butler, a longstanding partner of his, to revise the script. The initial draft of the screenplay was penned by David Callaham, who has also contributed to the script for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

In the ’80s, I found myself deeply immersed in a world that began as an intriguing toy collection – He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Over time, this captivating universe expanded to encompass my television screen with an engaging animated series.

Previously, there was a live-action adaptation in 1987 featuring Dolph Lundgren as Prince Adam and Frank Langella as Skeletor. This fresh iteration intends to reintroduce the story to a contemporary audience, incorporating advanced special effects, an expanded ensemble, and a revitalized interpretation of the timeless characters.

The new Masters of the Universe movie is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
