How To Fish
Spending time in Avalon is effortless, particularly when you engage in fishing at the enchanting and mysterious waters of the Southern Horns. There are fishing rods scattered on the beach for your use, or you can purchase one from the vendor located along the coastal village.
To go fishing, first, choose a fishing rod from one of your storage slots, and then make your way towards a suitable water body. Next, use the appropriate command or gesture to throw the line into the water, and then patiently wait for a fish to take the bait.
If the bobber ticks three times, and you haven’t gotten a pull, try recasting the line.
Once you feel a nibble, maintain pressure on the input and let go momentarily to keep the hook icon within the golden zone until all the white orbs on the left disappear. This means you’ve successfully reeled in your fish, and you can then check out the size of your catch!
All Fish And Where To Find Them
In the waters surrounding Avalon, you’ll discover around six different kinds of fish. Catching or even ‘acquiring’ these species will provide you with multiple fish fillets as a reward. It appears that The Horns of the South is an ideal spot for fishing, boasting numerous streams, access to the open sea, and a thriving marine ecosystem.
Take note that not only living organisms inhabit the water, but also debris! Cleaning up the litter could net you some additional coins if sold, even though it’s just waste. And yes, fishing is indeed possible in the infamous Blood Lake, albeit it’s primarily cluttered with trash.

Where To Get Really Special Herring
Instead of catching a Regular Herring like other fish species, you can only acquire the Extraordinary Herring once you’ve had a conversation with Rumpolt and embarked on the “120 Days of Herring & Cheese” quest.
He’ll point out the spot on your chart, specifically near the large fish symbol towards the east. Make your way to that precise location to snag the elusive and odorous fish.
