Having been engaged for nearly half a year, they officially became husband and wife. Prior to marrying her current partner, Steinfeld has had several high-profile relationships that garnered attention online.

Prior to being seen with her current spouse, who is a quarterback, and her husband-to-be, Steinfeld had been connected romantically with Niall Horan, a member of One Direction. The first sighting of the actress with Horan happened in 2018. During an interview with US Weekly at that time, she expressed her desire to maintain her relationship as private.
This year, during August, it was noticed that the former couple were seen kissing and socializing. Yet, their relationship didn’t last beyond December as they parted ways. After the breakup, the actress put out a song titled “Misguided Love” (a nod to Niall Horan’s band name).
The actress went on to sing, “I just hate all the hurt that you put me through.”
