Ah, the grand spectacle of the crypto bazaar! Today, as the sun rises over the digital marketplace, altcoins find themselves in a rather unflattering retreat, while Bitcoin, that illustrious king of the crypto realm, lounges comfortably at a princely $109,000. Traders and analysts, those modern-day oracles, have not failed to notice this curious state of affairs.
Our dear crypto bard, Lark Davis, took to the ether of X to lament, “They don’t really do anything,” as Bitcoin pirouettes through peaks and valleys like a ballet dancer with a penchant for drama. “That’s the state of the crypto market right now,” he quipped on May 26, as if reciting a tragic play.
Indeed, the majority of altcoins languish far below their former glories, reminiscent of a once-great empire now reduced to ruins. So, the burning question remains: when shall we witness the fabled altseason?
Altseason Coming Soon … Really
Most analysts and crypto traders, those brave souls navigating this tempestuous sea, seem to agree that the dawn of altseason is nigh, peering through the fog of current market conditions.
On May 27, Bitcoin’s venerable OG, Kyle Chassé, proclaimed that this altseason would be “epic,” though he cautioned it would not resemble the grand festivities of yore, for there are simply too many tokens vying for attention. A veritable circus of 17,000 tokens listed on Coingecko, and a staggering 16 million tracked by CoinMarketCap! Alas, most of these are but worthless meme coins, flitting about like moths to a flame.
Altseason will be EPIC.
But it won’t be like previous altseasons.
There are just too many alts for everything to go up.
Pay attention to what’s getting attention.
That’s where the money is.

Meanwhile, the enigmatic “Merlijn The Trader” regaled his 385,000 followers with tales of an altseason that would make 2021 look like a mere footnote in history. “The charts are screaming it!” he declared, as if the very heavens had opened to reveal the secrets of the universe.
Yet, dissenters argue that altcoins have fallen from grace, their allure diminished. But fear not, for our trader hero insists, “institutions are coming for them,” particularly those with genuine utility. A noble quest indeed!
Unpopular opinion:
This altseason will make 2021 look tiny.
The charts are screaming it.
Your only question should be: How big?

“BTC dominance is about to dump hard,” proclaimed the sage known as “Sensei,” adding, “altseason is coming.” A major harbinger of this impending season is a decline in Bitcoin’s market dominance, currently perched at 64.25%, according to the oracle known as Tradingview. It reached a dizzying height of 65.4% on May 7, only to wane slightly since. Yet, the trend has been decidedly upward since the dawn of 2023.
Altcoins Not Ready to Pop Yet
Our crypto oracle “Moustache” echoed the sentiments of his fellow traders, suggesting that altcoins are “on the verge of a parabolic rally like in 2017 or 2021,” as the charts whisper sweet nothings of past cycles.
#Altcoins
Imagine you’re only in the early stages of an altseason.
Imagine you’re on the verge of a parabolic rally like in 2017 or 2021.
That’s where we are imo.
Numerous charts confirm this.

Yet, as we return to the present, altcoins find themselves predominantly in the red, suffering larger daily losses for XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid, and Sui. Despite the siren calls of chart patterns and signals aligning, it appears that our dear altcoins are not quite ready to ascend to the heavens just yet.
