In ‘The Night Flower Hairpin Part 1,’ the story opens with Jinya encountering a wounded woman who pleads for him to purchase her services for the evening. However, he refuses, which leads to her emotional distress causing her to morph into a demon. Jinya then eliminates this demon. Simultaneously, at a celebration, Natsu and Ofuu come across a merchant named Somegorou Akitsu with the same surname as they do.

Natasha buys souvenirs and receives a real hair accessory as a present. This item puts her under a spell, causing Yin-ya to probe further. The vendor challenges him and introduces himself as “Somegorou Akitsu, the Third.

Episode 9 of Sword of the Demon Hunter sees the ongoing conflict between Jinya and the self-proclaimed Somegorou Akitsu. As they engage, Jinya encounters three inugami summoned by Akitsu. To fend them off, he employs his abilities like Concealment and Swift Step.

Even though Jinya is injured, he’ll ultimately outsmart Akitsu, uncovering his real identity as a tsukumogami user who can turn items imbued with residual feelings into demons. This episode will delve into Akitsu’s powers and might even shed light on the conflict being rooted in a miscommunication.
