On June 26, there’s a significant upgrade coming for Space Marine 2, introducing “Siege Mode” – a fresh, player-versus-environment (PvE) experience that’s available to everyone at no cost.
At the Warhammer Skulls Festival, it was announced that the update would not only be released but also features two cosmetic DLC packs as an added bonus for those who have a Season Pass.

What to Expect in Siege Mode
In “Siege Mode,” you engage in a 3-player cooperative adventure on Kadaku. Here, you’ll confront endless waves of Tyranids and Chaos foes while safeguarding an Imperial fortress. The objective is to withstand these attacks as long as possible until eventually succumbing to the pressure.
In the trailer, you can see a Dreadnought mech (as shown in the image below). When gamers questioned whether they could control this mech, Focus Entertainment replied that it’s currently not possible to do so, with further details expected soon.
I’m sorry for any confusion, but the Dreadnought isn’t a playable character – it provides AI assistance instead. For details on its gameplay mechanics, please wait for our May Community Update, which will be released next week.
The new update becomes available for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers (PC). For those who play on PC via Steam, you can test it ahead of time starting from June 4 through the Public Test Server. Further information about this will be provided in our next community post.
Two New DLC Packs: White Scars and Blood Angels
In addition to Siege Mode, Update 8 also offers two fresh cosmetic DLCs to players who own the Ultra Edition, Gold Edition, or have a Season Pass. This means that these players will receive two additional cosmetic items as part of the update.
- White Scars Chapter Pack
Includes a Champion skin for the Assault class, three themed weapon skins (Occulus Bolt Carbine, Stalker Bolt Rifle, Combat Knife), and additional cosmetic options with heraldry for Successor Chapters. - Blood Angels Cosmetic Pack
Adds new armor pieces usable across all classes, plus markings for eight Blood Angels Successor Chapters.
Additional Offers and Community Access
During the Skulls Festival of Video Games, you can find the update going live, with Space Marine 2 offering up to a 40% discount on all its editions and downloadable content.
Individuals have the option to sign up for the Focus Together platform, where they can exchange opinions, collect incentives, and keep in touch with other enthusiasts of the “Space Marine 2” gaming community.
