During his interview, Keoghan admitted that he has accepted the fact that he is an addict and no longer denies it. He further revealed that not even the arrival of his son in 2022 managed to deter him from using substances.
During a chat with Hollywood Authentic, the actor openly admitted, “I’ve come to terms with my reality. I recognize that I struggle with addiction, and I identify as an addict.” He went on to say, “Once you acknowledge that, you can start to heal and find ways to manage it effectively.
After overcoming his battle with substance abuse, the actor openly admitted that he currently feels serene and takes accountability for the substances he consumes. Expounding upon this, the star of The Batman divulged, “These scars I bear are a testament to my past struggles.
Keogan elaborated, “They stem from my actions. Now, I find tranquility and take accountability for everything I undertake. I’ve come to terms with it all. I’m mindful. I’m at ease. I’m fulfilled. I’m a father. I now see more clearly the fog that was once there – it’s just a bit clearer and vibrant now.
Speaking about the reason behind his decision to openly address his addictions, the actor from The Eternals explained that he wanted his viewers and supporters to know his background. He stated, “I wear my struggles with pride, and I hope that people in the acting world and beyond can comprehend the weight I carry.
The actor shared with the media portal that he even suffered arm injuries while using d*ugs.
