HoYoverse has at last unveiled details about the significant upgrade, Zenless Zone Zero 2.0, for the popular urban fantasy action RPG.

In “Where Clouds Kiss the Sunrise,” we find ourselves following the journey of Belle and Wise as they relocate to Waifei Peninsula, seeking training under Yixuan at his dojo. Their goal: master their recently discovered abilities. But, the peaceful landscape belies a secret, for a sinister plot is brewing in the penumbra.

The latest edition of ZZZ, version 2.0, will become available for PC, PlayStation 5, iPhone/iOS, Android devices, and Xbox Series X|S on June 6, 2025.

ZZZ 2.0 story, characters, and maps

In the first chapter of Season 2, Belle and Wise journey to Waifei Peninsula to learn from Yixuan, the esteemed leader at Yunkui Summit, as part of a deal where they’ll assist her with her personal research within the Lemnian Hollow.

In addition, ZZZ 2.0 introduces a Story of the Agent, focusing on the character Ju Fufu, immersing players in the thrilling production of an action movie.

1. The three Agents showcased on ZZZ 2.0 banners are all from the recently introduced Yunkui Summit faction. Leading the way as the first Rupture Agent in the game, Yixuan excels at dealing damage. Lastly, Pan Yinhu, an A-Rank Agent, joins the Defense class and appears to have been designed specifically to support Yixuan and future Rupture Agents.

The Waifei Peninsula exudes a classic charm compared to Sixth Street, yet it remains just as modern. Adventurers will discover distinctly different areas like Failume Heights and Aerospace City, along with the mysterious Lemnian Hollow, all of which are new territories to traverse.

New Exploration

In ZZZ 2.0, there’s no longer a clear separation between navigation and battle. Instead, these elements are blended together, introducing innovative features like Perception Skills that allow you to discover hidden hints on the map and identify significant locations. Additionally, there have been significant updates to the control system.

Users have the option to either select the previously optimized navigation panel for moving around, or opt for the freshly introduced global map instead.

New Agent Class

Version 2.0 of ZZZ introduces Rupture Agents, combining both attack potency and durability for these characters. To enhance and arm them, fresh promotional materials along with B and A-rank W-Engines are now accessible for upgrades and deployment.

Regarding this enhancement, a fresh character attribute called “Sheer Force” is going to be implemented. This feature enables Agents to bypass the Defense value of their targets.

New Hollow Zero content
