Actress Pom Klementieff is parting ways with the Mission: Impossible series in an impressive manner, as she performs all her own stunts during the production of the latest movie, Mission: Impossible – Fallout.
During an interview on CBS Mornings, the actress openly expressed her enthusiasm and commitment as she discussed the upcoming movie, set for release in theaters this coming Friday, May 23rd.
Klementieff shared that she’s spent years preparing for this moment, harboring a dream of joining the Mission: Impossible team and performing as much action-packed scenes as possible. She believes that her efforts translate more authentically on screen.
In a new role, Klementieff portrays Paris, a figure who comes back seeking retribution against her previous superior, Gabriel. She mentioned that she put in considerable effort to hone her skills for the fight sequences and even practiced extensively to execute an arduous axe kick featured within the film.
She stated that their stunt team was exceptional. They meticulously practiced, perfecting the high kicks and the entire choreography.
Her commitment on the film set was so extraordinary that it led others to affectionately nickname her “Mini Cruise,” reflecting the similarity to Tom Cruise, who is renowned for performing his own daring stunts.
Klementieff praised working with Cruise, stating that his enthusiasm, his zest, and positive vibes make everyone around him perform at their best.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my feelings about Simon Pegg, who embodies Benji Dunn in the Mission: Impossible series, announcing his departure from the franchise. Since 2005, he’s been an integral part of this action-packed adventure, and now, as I reflect on his journey with us, the moment feels both sweet and bitter.
Pegg expressed, “We’ve been putting in a lot of effort. Now look at us, it’s almost here,” he said. “There’s this feeling of accomplishment and closure, yet it seems like we won’t spend as much time together in the future.
Still, Pegg says there’s always room for more surprises.
After completing each film, doesn’t it seem like there’s nothing left to do? I honestly can’t fathom how we could potentially put him in danger any further than we already do with this one. (Pegg)
Paramount Pictures releases ‘Mission: Impossible – The Last Stand’ in cinemas nationwide starting this coming Friday, May 23rd. Fans won’t want to miss it!
