Justin Baldoni is counting on his family and religious beliefs as he prepares for his court case against actress Blake Lively, scheduled to start in March 2026. The It Ends with Us star, who is 41 years old, along with his wife Emily Baldoni, are drawing strength from a close-knit group of trusted friends for support, as per a source close to the actor-director shared with People.
According to the report, the legal dispute is putting pressure on them, but their marriage remains strong but more unified than before. They exchanged vows in 2013 and are parents to Maiya and Maxwell.
My friend finds it hard to believe March is coming so soon, as he’s currently bearing a heavy burden, both financially and emotionally, from his ongoing legal battle.
In December 2024, Lively initiated a lawsuit over sexual harassment, claiming that Baldoni engaged in inappropriate behavior during the movie’s production and further asserted that he orchestrated a defamatory backlash against her as retribution.
In January, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit as a counterclaim, accusing Lively, her spouse Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane of extortion and defamation, in response to the allegations they had made against him.
Taylor Swift, a good friend of Lively’s, has also found herself caught up in the ongoing dispute. In text messages associated with the legal case, Lively referenced Swift and likened her to Daenerys’ dragons. Baldoni alleges that Lively manipulated his decisions for the Netflix film using her high-profile friends and dictated the script based on their influence.
Despite the persistent court case, Baldoni maintains an upbeat outlook. According to the source, he is a highly optimistic individual who trusts that everything will turn out favorably in the end.
A friend shared with the media that he has been spending just as much time as usual with his wife, family, and close companions. He has consistently maintained a tight-knit group around him, and this hasn’t altered in any way.
Currently, it has been disclosed by a Hollywood insider that Baldoni feels reassured by his legal team and remains unfazed regarding his professional standing and financial situation as he navigates through the aftermath.
Since filing her lawsuit, Lively has been quite active in public events. For instance, she attended the recording of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special and graced the TIME100 gala as well.
