JAKKS Turns ‘Treehouse of Horror’ King Homer into Must-Have Collectible

Previously this year, JAKKS unveiled a fresh wave for its exceptional The Simpsons collection. This new line offers additional figures, dolls, and sets that honor some of Springfield’s most renowned characters and landmarks. However, among all the exciting offerings, there is one item that truly shines – both in size and quality. JAKKS’ King Homer Plush, representing the Marge-loving monster from “Treehouse of Horror III,” is undoubtedly one of the best The Simpsons toys ever made.

The 16-inch tall, officially-licensed King Homer Collector Plush from JAKKS is adorned with a combination of faux fur and high-quality soft boa. Its rotating head made of vinyl adds intricate details to the design. This plush toy comes in special packaging, which includes a scenic backdrop inspired by “Treehouse of Horror III.

The formal description doesn’t fully convey the greatness of this toy, as I discovered when JAKKS provided me with a review sample. King Homer is even more impressive up close. The plush material seems larger than expected, the fur appears realistic, and the box themed after King Kong perfectly captures the spirit of the parody. This is hands down the best Simpsons toy I’ve ever encountered in person, and I’ve had my fair share throughout my life.

I’m thrilled to have the King Homer Collector Plush ($29.99) in my collection, a perfect fit for those 14 and older, but it truly resonates with the 41-year-olds who, like me, have invested countless hours watching and dissecting every episode of “Treehouse of Horror.” It’s an ideal nod to our shared passion.

Just like the other recent additions to Springfield’s toy collection, these new items are no exception. They include 2.5-inch figures of characters such as Grampa Simpson, Milhouse, Ralph Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Bart with Krusty the Clown Hat, Principal Skinner, Nelson Muntz, Martin Prince, Selma Bouvier, and Dancin’ Homer. JAKKS has also released new 5-inch action figures of Baseball Homer, Lenny Leonard, Milhouse, Marge Simpson, Barney Gumble, Carl Carlson, Bumblebee Man, and a Bart with Blue Shirt variant. There’s also a new Krusty Burger Diorama Set, complete with accessories and a 2.5-inch Krusty figure. This Homer Plush Doll is fantastic; it’s almost as if it might chomp on those other JAKKS Simpsons figurines! But let’s hope the Marge Action Figure manages to keep him well-behaved.
