However, it’s worth noting that there’s more to this talented actor than just the spy series. In case you didn’t know, Tom Cruise is also renowned for the aviation drama classic Top Gun, which appears to be a significant piece of his long-term career strategy.
Speaking with Australia’s Today, the star of Edge of Tomorrow hinted at his future projects, revealing that both Top Gun and Days of Thunder may be revisited. The four-time Academy Award winner has recently disclosed that he is developing a sequel to Top Gun: Maverick and also a continuation of the 1990 NASCAR film.

Regarding everything we’re currently tackling, we’ve been talking about Days of Thunder and Top Gun: Maverick,” the actor from War of the Worlds said, adding to the conversation.
Discussing the standout piece that left the crowd spellbound, the film Top Gun: Maverick exceeded a staggering $1.4 billion globally and even garnered a nomination for the prestigious Academy Award in the Best Picture category.
Tom Cruise added, “We have many more movies in progress currently. I’m either filming, preparing for a film, or promoting one.
Later on, Cruise also shared that he’s wrapped up a project with Alejandro Iñárritu, news of which is expected shortly.
Discussing the undisclosed film, Tom Cruise described it as “a remarkable journey.” He also mentioned that he frequently collaborates with Christopher McQuarrie on various projects.
