Trigger warning: This article contains mention of sexual harassment.
People adore Dakota Johnson for her raw, uninhibited personality.” At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, the actress discussed with Deadline about her upcoming project titled Verity. This movie features Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett along with Johnson. The film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s book by the same name.
Regarding the project, Johnson mentioned they had recently wrapped up filming. She confessed she wasn’t familiar with Verity prior to reading the script. The actress from “50 Shades of Grey” went on to say, “It seems to be a novel by Colleen Hoover that has quite a following. Apparently, many people are captivated by it.
In response to the outlet highlighting the large fanbase the author possesses, Dakota Johnson described Hoover as both “humorous” and “interesting.
She added, “Indeed, it’s Josh Hartnett, Anne Hathaway, and myself in the film. Of course, the subject matter is clear from the novel – it’s about a ghostwriter who completes the works of a well-known author as she recovered from an accident.
The actress from Madam Web mentioned, “She eventually joins them at their home, which is where a series of peculiar events unfold. It’s quite intriguing.
Enthusiasts of the initial novel can’t wait for the project to become a reality, as anticipation for the movie grows, notably on social platforms.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed an intriguing parallel between the buzz surrounding Colleen Hoover’s novel and the sensation that arose when it was announced that ‘It Ends With Us’ would be adapted into a film. The excitement quickly transitioned, however, from the novel to the legal drama unfolding between the movie’s star-studded cast, specifically Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.
As a lifestyle advisor, I found myself in a position to share an updated piece of news from 2024. Back then, during the holiday season, there were allegations made against a popular actor from Jane the Virgin, regarding sexual harassment. This was reportedly brought forth by none other than Zac Efron’s co-star from The Shallows.
Interestingly enough, Baldoni, the actor in question, decided to respond with a counterclaim for defamation. To add another layer to this situation, he also involved Ryan Reynolds and his spouse, presumably due to some connection or statement made by them that led to the accusations against him.
