THE SIMPSONS’ New Voice of Milhouse Will Debut in Season 36’s Finale, Welcome Kelly Macleod

Previously this year, a long-standing figure from “The Simpsons” revealed she was retiring from the show. Pamela Hayden is stepping down following over three decades of portraying numerous characters on the animated sitcom. This includes her most well-known and adored character, Milhouse Van Houten. However, even though Hayden is departing Springfield, her characters will remain. Now, we have learned who and when will be assuming the role as Milhouse’s voice actor. Singer Kelly Macleod will make her debut as Milhouse during the season finale of “The Simpsons” in its 36th season. Notably, her first time voicing the character will showcase an older version of him.

As a die-hard fan of The Simpsons, I’m thrilled to share that Entertainment Weekly announced the show has cast Macleod to step into the shoes of everyone’s favorite brainiac, Milhouse. She’ll make her grand entrance as Springfield’s quintessential nerd this Sunday, May 18, during the series’ season finale titled “Estranger Things.” The episode’s synopsis hints at some intriguing drama: “When Bart and Lisa stop bonding over Itchy & Scratchy, Marge worries they’re growing apart… but little does she know, things are about to get a whole lot worse!” In her initial appearance as Milhouse on The Simpsons, Macleod won’t have too many lines, though. According to Entertainment Weekly, she only has one line, which will be delivered during a scene featuring more mature versions of Bart, Lisa, and Milhouse.

It’s quite a challenge to have an added level of complexity on your first day at work, especially since it’s her initial assignment with the Milhouse team. Interestingly, Macleod had her debut in “The Simpsons” last year in the episode “Bart the Cool Kid,” where she performed “Two Badges, One Mind.

It’s uncertain if Macleod will portray any more of Hayden’s characters apart from Milhouse in the future, but The Simpsons has already replaced Jimbo Jones with Mo Collins this season. We’re fine with that as long as her rendition of Jimbo doesn’t cross paths with Macleod’s version of Milhouse. Even though a new voice actor is playing Jimbo, we remain just as guarded over our beloved character as ever.
