Ana de Armas recently discussed her collaboration with Tom Cruise following the speculations about their relationship. The 37-year-old actress, who’s currently promoting her upcoming film in the John Wick series titled Ballerina, revealed that she is indeed working on multiple projects alongside the 62-year-old actor well-known for Top Gun.
On the morning of Thursday, May 15th, during my interview on Good Morning America, I shared that we are actively developing multiple initiatives. Not merely one, but a variety of projects with Doug Liman, Christopher McQuarrie, and naturally, Tom. I am absolutely thrilled about it all!
Armas chose not to address the romantic speculation outright, yet subtly suggested that their connection is strictly work-related. This point has been emphasized by her agent over the past few weeks.
Liman previously teamed up with Cruise in 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow and 2017’s American Made, serving as director. On the other hand, McQuarrie, a multi-talented director and screenwriter, has partnered with Cruise on multiple Mission: Impossible films. Additionally, McQuarrie penned the script for Edge of Tomorrow.
In February, Cruise and Armas were initially seen together in London. Back then, her representatives told the press that they were discussing possible future collaborations.
On various instances, they’ve been observed together. Additionally, it is said that Cruise attended Armas’ birthday celebration in London. On the 14th of March, they were spotted landing in London by helicopter, accompanied by Liman as well.
Speaking of celebrity sightings, I recently found myself among the crowd exiting David Beckham’s memorable 50th birthday bash in London on the 3rd of May. That’s right, Tom Cruise and Emily Ratajkowski were also part of the festivities, adding a dash of star power to the evening!
Recently, Cruise garnered attention for his upcoming Cannes 2025 showing, accompanied by the cast from Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning. The movie had its debut at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival on a Wednesday.
Under the guidance of director Christopher McQuarrie, this movie features Simon Pegg portraying Benji Dunn, Ving Rhames taking on Luther Stickell, Vanessa Kirby stepping into the role of Alanna Mitsopolis, Hayley Atwell playing Grace, Esai Morales as the villain Gabriel, Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs, Greg Tarzan Davis as Degas, and Pom Klementieff as the character known as Paris. (assuming this is about a movie)
Globally, the movie is set to debut on May 23, however, fans in India will get an early sneak peek starting from May 17 in local theaters.
