The video begins similarly to an episode, as Senator Bail Organa (Benjamin Bratt) hands over the stage to his friend Mon Mothma, following his blunt instruction, “Wreck this place.” Indeed, she does just that. Mon Mathoma delivers some of the most potent dialogue in the Star Wars universe, particularly when she declares, “The suppression of truth is the ultimate triumph of evil.” This video interweaves clips from the Ghorman Massacre (from a previous episode) and significant scenes from season one. For added impact, it also includes a glimpse of Darth Vader from Rogue One.
Unfortunately, the series Andor is nearing its end. However, we’re optimistic that Lucasfilm may find a way to involve Genevieve O’Reilly in future stories as Mon Mothma. Given her significant role as the Chancellor of the New Republic following Return of the Jedi, as depicted in Ahsoka, it would be great to see more of her in season two or perhaps another upcoming project. In the interim, rewatch Mon Mothma’s captivating speech from Andor multiple times for enjoyment.
