It appears that the forthcoming Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building promises to be even more captivating due to the added intrigue from the real-life romance rumors between co-stars Meryl Streep and Martin Short. Reportedly, they were spotted sharing a kiss on set in New York City, as per E! News.
According to the report, it was observed that the pair shared a kiss during filming on May 7. On this particular day, Meryl Streep donned a white blouse, blue jeans, a beige jacket, and a gray hat while working.
Meanwhile, Short sported a reddish-brown trench coat, a navy blue vest, and matching trousers.
These reports surface as persistent whispers persist online about them potentially being in a relationship. To clarify, Short’s representative has allegedly dismissed these dating rumors earlier, stating to the media outlet that they are simply “very close friends, with no romantic involvement.
On the very same day (7th May), alongside Short and Streep, Selena Gomez and Steve Martin were additionally seen shooting scenes for the series, as per Just Jared’s reports, in the distinctive yellow and orange Peugeot 504 vehicle that serves as a signature prop of the show.
For the upcoming season of the show, not only will we see the previously mentioned actors, but also Michael Cyril Creighton, Jackie Hoffman, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, according to Deadline. Moreover, Téa Leoni is set to join the production as well.
