In the fifth installment of Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, titled ‘King’s Decision,’ Sin chooses to work towards harmony between humans and Gears. Unika breaks away from Bridget and reconnects with her “father,” who turns out to be Nerville. Through a series of flashbacks, we understand that Nerville harbors hatred for both Gears and powerful humans, intending to wipe out the Gear population using a virus that incites berserker rages.
When Unika returned, she began to question her beliefs. As Sin, Sol, Baiken, Johnny, and Jack-O challenged him, Nerville unleashed the virus he had brought back with him, revealing that Sin, Dizzy, and Unika were infected. It turned out that Unika was actually Sin’s sister and a special kind of robot named a Command-type Gear. Later on, an older version of Nerville appeared, absorbed his past self, and launched a second Crusade.
In Episode 6 of Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, we’ll pick up where we left off as Sin transforms into the new Gear King, now under Nerville’s future influence. As a virus sweeps through and chaos ensues, Unika and Sin may find themselves fighting against the control exerted by the Command-type system.
In the upcoming episode, attention may move towards Sol’s team’s attempts to combat the bioweapon and avoid another conflict similar to the Crusade. As power dynamics shift and alliances become uncertain, the story is expected to intensify with several fresh twists and turns.
