Megan Thee Stallion to Sydney Sweeney: Celebrities Who Broke Infamous No Phone Rule at Met Gala 2025

Every year, the Met Gala is an eagerly anticipated event for people worldwide. This year’s gala, held on May 5, lived up to expectations and sparked quite a buzz. As usual, there was much discussion about the outfits and the guidelines of the Met Gala. However, what has everyone really talking is that several celebrities chose to disregard a specific rule this time around.

The rule at hand is known as the ‘No-Phones’ rule. It appears that celebrities are prohibited from taking photos or recording events of the night using their mobile devices. However, this year, it looks like numerous high-profile individuals disregarded this rule and still utilized their phones nonetheless.

As reported by Just Jared, several celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Tyla, Chance the Rapper, Laura Harrier, Megan Thee Stallion, and others have posted snapshots or clips on social media showing their presence at this year’s Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

At the event, the rapper Savage secretly recorded a video where she shared her opinion about the food. According to reports, the musician admitted, “We’re supposed not to use our phones here, but we’re doing it anyways.” Allegedly, someone wrote on the video, “Don’t delete this before Anna gets to see it.

At the Met Gala, it was Halle Bailey who was photographed by the official event photographer, taking a selfie with Sydney Sweeney and another attendee named Lisa.

It appears that the ‘No Phones’ rule isn’t strictly enforced, as numerous celebrities seem to flout it annually.

This year’s Met Gala continues to dominate online conversations. The buzz grew even stronger when Rihanna announced her pregnancy with her and A$AP Rocky’s third child, adding to their family of two sons, RZA and Riot.
