Capcom has consistently refined and upgraded Monster Hunter Wilds since its debut in February, and they are now focusing on a particular point of criticism – concerns about not being able to access time-limited content.
On Twitter, Capcom announced they’ve received requests for making limited-time Arch-tempered monsters permanent. As a result, battles against Arch-tempered Rey Dau and Uth Duna have been made permanently available for hunting.
On July 23, Rey Dau, skillfully soaring, joins the Festival of Harmony: Flamefete, marking his permanent stay thereafter. However, it is worth noting that the current event quest will conclude on July 16, as stated by Capcom.
On July 23rd, a previously scheduled character named Arch-tempred Uth Duna will arrive one week ahead of plan. Moreover, this character will be permanently available in the game. To date, these are the first and only confirmed permanent additions, although it seems that Capcom might be considering additional ones.
In their announcement, Capcom mentioned that they might keep the special quests for upcoming Arch-tempered monsters and other event quests active permanently. After they work out the specifics of these changes, they plan to reveal all the details, including when they’ll be rolled out.
The majority of responses regarding the update appear to be favorable. Although some apprehension exists about the elimination of the funneling impact of time-limited content, the overall sentiment seems positive, particularly since Arch-tempered enemies frequently offer fresh content and items that established players may find appealing and wish to acquire.
The player from the r/MonsterHunter subreddit expressed that they prefer to return to a collection of fresh content whenever they feel like interacting with it, in their own words.
Capcom has been steadily making efforts to tackle player feedback and problems concerning Monster Hunter Rise, despite reported harassment related to the latest Monster Hunter installment. This action appears commendable, suggesting the team is responsive to player needs, all while introducing significant updates such as the new Lagiacrus fight.
On July 23rd, both Rey Dau (Arch-Tempered) and Uth Duna make their permanent residence in the world of Monster Hunter.
