Actress Connie Britton, who portrayed character Nicole in season 1, is eager to rejoin ‘White Lotus’, but she’s requesting that the series be set in Aspen this time around. This is because she prefers not to leave her son unattended and doesn’t want to spend extended periods shooting in a foreign country.
During a recent conversation, the actress shared that she’s been discussing a comeback for the popular series with its creator, Mike White, for quite some time now. Yet, due to family commitments, she finds it hard to spare that much time, considering it an impractical proposition.
For years now, I, a fervent admirer, have been in conversations with the brilliant mind behind it all, Mike White, about the possibility of bringing back another season of that beloved show. It’s a dream I hold close to my heart, and I recently shared this hope with US Weekly. Yet, I must clarify, the decision isn’t a simple one; it’s a matter of striking the perfect balance between artistic vision and fan expectation.
Discussing Season 1, she disclosed that she filmed the series while the COVID-19 pandemic was ongoing. Remarkably, she brought her 14-year-old adopted son Eyob to the set with her. In the early hours of the day from Hawaii, he would attend Zoom meetings. Unfortunately, at present, she can no longer leave him unattended for work as he needs to focus on his school assignments.
She expressed that she’d really like to take it on, but there are a lot of factors involved. In fact, similar situations have required her to decline other opportunities in the past.
Discussing the challenge of balancing her role as a mom with long working hours, she confessed that she lacked a support network in Nashville, which often required her to work up to 17 hours daily. Being a single parent has influenced her decision-making and shaped her life around her child’s needs.
Discussing her experience as a new parent, Britton admitted that this transition has been significant for her. She acknowledges the value of having a network of support, something not all single parents worldwide are fortunate enough to have, she emphasized.
Britton additionally expressed her aspiration to transform societal views regarding single parenting through the production of “The Motherhood,” a reality television program designed to assist single mothers in establishing more harmonious and satisfying lifestyles for both themselves and their families.
