HoYoverse teases new Honkai game with Pokémon elements

During the celebration of Honkai: Star Rail’s second anniversary, HoYoverse hinted at a future Honkai game featuring creature gathering elements. Towards the end of the concert, a video was played showcasing characters from both Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail alongside mythical creatures. These creatures began to engage in combat reminiscent of Pokemon battles.

For some time, it has become clear from job advertisements that HoYoverse has been developing a fresh game based on the Honkai intellectual property, incorporating aspects of creature collection.

Lately, it appears that the corporation has submitted trademark requests for a game titled “Honkai: Nexus Anima” and also secured related social media handles. This move strongly hints that this could be the game title that was previously suggested during the concert.

Based on the trailer and the title, it seems this new game will function as a central point or hub, connecting various Honkai series titles, offering an expansive crossover experience.

In the teaser, Kiana Kaslana, the protagonist of Honkai Impact 3rd, exclaims, “This is where I am now, aboard a novel aircraft.” She goes on to express her excitement about the numerous intriguing discoveries she’s made here and the fresh hurdles that have presented themselves.

In the video, a compact, canine-resembling creature is shown facing off against a wolf-like beast alongside HSR’s Blade. However, the scene abruptly ends without giving us a glimpse of the ensuing action.

At this moment, neither a launch date nor a platform has been revealed for the forthcoming title tentatively named Honkai: Nexus Anima.
