It appears that Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun have resolved their financial disagreement regarding the canceled Justice Tour, as reported by TMZ. The dispute also involved commissions owed to Braun from Bieber’s earnings, specifically for the hit song “Baby.” The total sum owed has been stated as USD 31.5 million, and it is believed that the 31-year-old artist has paid off his debt in full.
What has Justin Bieber given back to Scooter Braun?
In light of speculation about his financial difficulties, it appears that Justin Bieber has resolved a high-profile dispute with his ex-manager, Scooter Braun. Allegedly, the pop star has paid off a debt of around USD 26 million, which was due for an advance payment he received from Anschutz Entertainment Group. Earlier reports suggested that approximately USD 40 million was advanced to Bieber as part of his Justice tour’s arrangements.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to shed light on an interesting turn of events involving a popular star. Back in September 2022, he abruptly ended some of his performances, and later in February 2023, he called off the entire tour. AEG, the organizer, was left with a significant loss of USD 26 million, which they sought to recover.
Enter Scooter Braun, who stepped up to help out. He arranged for his company, HYBE, to lend the necessary funds to BTS’ agency to settle the debt. On the other hand, Justin Bieber pledged to repay this amount over a period of 10 years. He made an initial payment but seemed to encounter challenges in maintaining his personal finances, as he hasn’t followed up on his commitment since then.
Currently, the artist known for “Let Me Love You” has paid back more than what was originally owed by him to the American investor regarding unpaid commissions spanning several years, amounting to approximately USD 11 million. It is also reported that Justin Bieber owed an additional USD 8.6 million to Scooter Braun; however, he chose to forgo this debt despite a strained financial disagreement between them.
