Blizzard is getting World of Warcraft fans really excited with new housing details

In World of Warcraft, players endured a delay when housing became available, but the sneak peeks Blizzard has given about the impending system have sparked much enthusiasm. This anticipation is particularly high because it appears the developers have gleaned valuable lessons from the shortcomings in similar systems found in games like Final Fantasy 14.

In their recent housing report, Blizzard explored the idea of community areas or neighborhoods within the game. These neighborhoods can be established by guilds or player groups and fall into two categories: private and public. Notably, there will not be an artificially limited supply of construction sites; new instances will be generated for public neighborhoods as they are needed, ensuring that all players seeking a home in World of Warcraft have access to one at a reasonable cost.

In a straightforward manner, Blizzard has simplified the process of relocating between neighborhoods: Now, players have the ability to gather all their belongings from their home and transport it elsewhere, where they can then reassemble it just as before.

Additionally, you’ll have ample opportunities to tailor access to your property, catering to individuals who enjoy hosting guests and those who prefer a private space exclusively for themselves.

Every neighborhood will offer temporary events, themed around Azeroth’s diverse cultures and species. Neighbors can collaborate on shared tasks to unlock unique decorations and items for the entire community, changing the overall appearance of the neighborhood. Participating in these events also earns favor, which can be used to enhance your home and gain additional rewards.

Housing is planned to arrive in World of Warcraft towards the end of 2025.
