To unlock the book these two conditions must be fulfilled:
- You must be on a New Game Plus playthrough
- You cannot be on Storyteller difficulty
So, if you’re engaging in NG+ (New Game Plus) and choosing a difficulty level of Easy or harder, you’ll have the opportunity to unlock the book and battle the formidable Redscale Dragon, the most challenging hidden boss across all levels.
How to defeat the Redscale Dragon superboss
Initially, it’s advisable to avoid confronting this boss until you’re nearing the end of your New Game+ playthrough and have reached level 70 or higher. Additionally, be cautious about the accessories you select, as they might drain or repel the boss’ attacks, causing it to launch an unavoidable attack that instantly kills your entire team.
