Chris Hemsworth has officially resumed his training routine as he gears up to reprise his character Thor in the upcoming Marvel film, “Avengers: Doomsday.” The actor recently posted an energetic workout video on social media, displaying him hitting and kicking a heavy punching bag. He accompanied the clip with the caption, “A small Avengers pre-match warm-up – coming at you hot!
Enthusiasts are already thrilled about the video, as they eagerly await Chris Hemsworth’s reprisal of Thor, the Mighty Avenger. Renowned for his demanding workout regimens, Hemsworth demonstrates once more that he’s perfectly suited to play a superhero.
The highly anticipated film “Avengers: Doomsday,” helmed by the Russo Brothers, is gearing up to be among the most significant Marvel Cinematic Universe productions yet. A number of beloved characters from the MCU are set to appear in this movie, including Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
Among them are actors from Fantastic Four: First Steps, such as Pedro Pascal portraying Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach stepping into the role of Ben Grimm, and Joseph Quinn assuming the character of Johnny Storm. Additionally, Robert Downey Jr. will be seen in an unexpected role as the antagonist Doctor Doom in this movie.
It’s unexpected but true: The upcoming film will feature characters from the original X-Men universe of Fox. Among those reprising their roles are Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and James Marsden as Cyclops, according to Movie Web’s reports.
It’s been speculated that these new elements could lead to a clash between the Avengers and the X-Men in the movie “Avengers: Doomsday”, instead of just focusing on Doctor Doom. Although Marvel hasn’t officially announced the storyline, the large cast seems to hint at a conflict spanning multiple universes.
In the continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to be released in cinemas on May 1, 2026, with “Avengers: Secret Wars” following suit on May 7, 2027. The script for these films has been penned by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
