On a live broadcast on Wednesday, Kanye West expressed his frustration about not getting to spend more time with his four children: North (age 11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5). The musician has been experiencing difficulties in co-parenting with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and he voiced his exhaustion at being apart from them.
West mentioned he was going to pick up his children, as he’s in discussions with lawyers. He expressed his frustration at the situation that has led him to accept not seeing his kids as often.” (Wearing all-black attire and a mask.)
A significant source of West’s annoyance stemmed from an arranged musical partnership between his child, North, and artist Playboi Carti. According to the Daily Mail, he stated that he had no role in the decision-making process regarding this collaboration and openly expressed his disapproval of the plan.
West stated on Twitter that Kim Kardashian, being a white woman, holds authority over the names and likenesses of their biracial children. He further reportedly discussed with Carti the possibility of North appearing on one of his songs. Additionally, he expressed confusion about being excluded from the album, while at the same time suggesting that Carti requested vocals from their daughter for the project.
During the broadcast, Kanye West also voiced criticism towards other famous individuals. “Not one of these celebrity peers seems to care about anything apart from their next burger,” he commented. He expressed his disappointment at not receiving backing from notable personalities such as Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
