Watch Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds Sing a Little DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Song Together

This past summer, “Deadpool” and “Wolverine” dominated movie theaters, marking the highly anticipated comebacks of both Deadpool (aka the Merc with the Mouth) and Logan, the mutant, after a long hiatus. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman left no stone unturned in their efforts to make this blockbuster a success. However, their most effective promotional stunt for “Deadpool” and “Wolverine” was on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The duo chose to entertain with a catchy song, where they traded friendly jabs at each other, poking fun at themselves as well as their characters. In simpler terms, Jackman mentions that he played Wolverine in ten films across two decades, and Reynolds quips with a “Ok, Boomer” comment. However, Jackman, who was born in 1968, actually belongs to Generation X, but the character of Logan is much older than a Baby Boomer. So, this time, it looks like Ryan Reynolds got the joke right. When Jackman brings up his X-Men roles, Reynolds yawns. But Hugh points out that Ryan’s Green Lantern movie didn’t do well at the box office. It seems like Ryan Reynolds can’t help but feel embarrassed about his portrayal of DC Comics’ Green Lantern, and it’s kind of amusing when he does so.

It’s highly likely that both Jackman and Reynolds will reprise their roles in either “Avengers: Doomsday” or “Avengers: Secret Wars”. After all, Marvel still needs to clarify the scene between Deadpool and Thor that we saw on the TVA monitors. However, there’s been no official word yet about a sequel to “Deadpool & Wolverine”. It’s possible that Marvel Studios is considering a “Deadpool, Wolverine, and Gambit” movie with Channing Tatum. This seems to be what many fans are hoping for. Just imagine the good-natured banter we could expect during the press tour for such a film!
