As a devoted movie enthusiast, I recently watched Disney’s take on Snow White, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype, only managing to gross $200 million this past weekend. Given its enormous production budget, the film fell short in generating profits, resulting in an estimated loss for Disney of at least $100 million.
Recently, I’ve been embroiled in a bit of controversy due to my comments about the original movie and politics. Adding fuel to the fire, a son of a Disney producer has publicly blamed me for the movie’s poor performance.

Next, she’s planning for the comedy-drama titled “She Gets It From Me“, a project with an unrecognized director and hails from a production company yet to produce any blockbusters. The film’s future is uncertain as it’s being marketed at Cannes Film Festival right now.

As reported by Variety, this movie is inspired by real events and centers around Nicky (Zegler), whose special day unexpectedly transforms into a quest to locate her medication-addicted, former punk rocker mother, Charlotte (Tomei). Their bonding adventure, filled with anarchic elements, aims at restoring their relationship. The official summary also mentions, “While YouTube is filled with emotional family reunions, no one captures the chaotic fallout that follows.
Headlining Evita
In addition to her role in another production, Rachel Zegler is expected to appear in the London play titled “Evita,” a reprise of the 1978 Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical. Regrettably, ticket sales have been slow, with no sold-out shows, despite offering reduced prices.
