Ahsoka Season 2: Shocking First Look and Production Kicks Off!

The first season of “Ahsoka” on Disney+ was one of the most enthralling Star Wars series we’ve seen so far. It not only reunited many beloved Rebels characters in live-action, but also introduced new favorites to the franchise. The intricate and mythological narrative kept us hooked. Naturally, we were delighted when season two of “Ahsoka” was confirmed. After all, the first season ended with several tantalizing cliffhangers, and we were eagerly anticipating how Ahsoka’s story would continue. It’s reassuring to know that her story will have more time to develop in its own right in season two.

Thrilled to share that I’m now part of the journey as production on “Ahsoka” season two kicks off! To mark this exciting moment, Rosario Dawson has unveiled a sneak peek into the next phase of “Ahsoka”. In the freshly released image for “Ahsoka” season two, it’s clear that Dawson is once again bringing our beloved character to life. Can’t wait to witness more!

Here’s everything we know about Ahsoka season two.

Ahsoka Season 2’s Plot

As for now, there aren’t many detailed plots revealed about the second season of Ahsoka. However, we do have some insights from the end of season one. The group found themselves with a lot to deal with when we last saw them. For instance, Ezra Bridger reunited with Hera Syndulla after a prolonged separation. Meanwhile, Sabine and Ahsoka were stranded on Peridea with no clear path back to their companions and home planet. Baylan Skoll was on a quest for an enigmatic Mortis link, while Shin Hati was searching for her identity. Not to forget, Grand Admiral Thrawn was causing trouble as usual. He has been secretly working with the Great Mothers and possesses an army of reanimated stormtroopers – quite chilling! We’ll undoubtedly catch up with all these characters again in the second season of Ahsoka.

Of course, there’s the issue of the ongoing chaos across the galaxy. The Imperial Remnant is struggling to regain its strength amidst the turmoil, while the New Republic grapples with issues of its own. As mentioned in a previous piece, “Season one of Ahsoka revealed that bureaucracy was already starting to slow down the growing government. It doesn’t appear that the new leadership learned the necessary lessons from pre-Galactic Empire times.” So, what does this mean for Ahsoka season two? We’ll have to wait and see.

At the Star Wars celebration, additional information about Ahsoka’s second season was revealed. Firstly, Admiral Ackbar is set to reappear with an expanded role within the series. Creator Filoni hinted that the Mon Calamari leader will serve as a strong ally for the heroes in the galaxy, and he suggested that Ackbar will face off against Thrawn, implying that Ackbar’s importance may even overshadow the Death Star itself.

Furthermore, you’ll notice Loth-cats appearing in the second season of Ahsoka, and they will undeniably be cute, soft little balls. As Filoni explained, “Because their legs aren’t strong enough yet, they tend to move about by rolling instead.

LOTH KITTENS in Ahsoka season 2 that are so smol they roll instead of walk 😍😍😍😍😍

In the second season of Ahsoka, it’s expected that the deities from Mortis will reappear, providing an intriguing twist to the series. Moreover, Hayden Christensen is set to return as Anakin Skywalker in this season, but specific details are scarce at the moment.

Behind the Scenes

Lucasfilm hasn’t shared extensive details about the team working on Ahsoka season two yet, but they have confirmed that Dave Filoni is currently in charge of developing the second season. Additionally, executive producer Jon Favreau will continue his role as director for the show.

Ahsoka Season 2’s Cast

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that Ahsoka, played by Rosario Dawson, will return in the second season of Ahsoka. Accompanying her will be Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker and Eman Esfandi taking on the character of Ezra Bridger. It’s a strong possibility that we’ll see Natasha Liu Bordizzo return to the screen as Sabine Wren, the Mandalorian warrior, in Ahsoka season two. Also, keep an eye out for Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla returning to their roles.

Furthermore, it’s quite probable that Lars Mikkelsen will resume his character as live-action Grand Admiral Thrawn, reprising his roles from season one of Ahsoka and Rebels. Likewise, it seems likely that David Tennant will return to voice the droid character Huyang, a role he has previously portrayed across the Star Wars universe.

In the second season of “Ahsoka,” Ray Stevenson, who was initially cast as Baylan Skoll, won’t be reprising his role due to a tragic passing before filming started. Instead, Rory McCann from “Game of Thrones” has been brought in to take on the role of Baylan Skoll in the upcoming season.

I’m thrilled to share that I, Rory McCann, will be taking on the role of Baylan Skoll in AHSOKA Season 2. As I embark on this exciting journey, my resolve is to do right by Dave Filoni and by all the fans who have shown their support for this project. I feel the Force guiding me, and I can’t wait to bring Baylan Skoll to life!
