Litecoin and Solana Racing to ETF Approval—XRP Just Clutching Its Pearls

If you thought picking crypto ETFs was as simple as picking your favorite ice cream flavor, think again 🍦😅. According to Eric Balchunas—the Bloomberg dude apparently paid to live and breathe ETF tea—Litecoin’s got a juicier chance of U.S. approval than XRP next year. There’s actual data behind this, not just “vibes,” so let’s all agree to pretend we’re serious for a moment.

Every crypto nerd’s favorite bird app (now known as X—because “Twitter” wasn’t existential enough) saw Eric post that, in 2025, you’d be wise to bet on spot Litecoin
LTC $84.85

  • 24h volatility: 1.1% (barely tipsy)
  • Market cap: $6.43B (not bad, not Bitcoin)
  • Vol. 24h: $373.99M (enough Starbucks for an eternity)

and Solana

SOL $147.3

  • 24h volatility: 1.1% (again, yawn)
  • Market cap: $76.21B (just flexing now)
  • Vol. 24h: $2.93B (Sol’s buying the drinks!)

to get that sweet, sweet ETF approval—with odds at a smug 90%. Place your bets and don’t blame me if you lose your shirt.

Would love to hear directly from Atkins, but all good chance of happening. Here’s our latest odds of approval for all the dif spot ETFs via @JSeyff

Important dates for your already-too-crowded calendar:

  • LTC ETF verdict day: October 2. Dress fancy.
  • SOL ETF deadline: October 10. Bring cake.

XRP, bless its digital little heart, is swirling around with just an 85% shot. (Crypto’s version of being picked last for dodgeball.) SEC’s final rose ceremony for XRP ETFs is set for October 17. If you’re holding your breath until then, good luck.

If you’re wondering who’s in the “SEC recognizes you as a commodity!” club, it’s basically everyone: LTC, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, DOT and AVAX. At this point, it’s a party and no one even checked invitations 🎈.

One Last Stop?

Eleanor Terrett (journalist, probably good at LinkedIn) gave us the inside scoop: the U.S. SEC postponed its decision on Franklin Templeton’s spot XRP ETF until June 17. Apparently, the SEC needed longer to decide whether Ripple is wearing the right shoes for the gala.

🚨NEW: The @SECGov has delayed making a decision on Franklin Templeton’s $XRP spot ETF until June 17.

XRP’s price then decided to take a tiny nosedive (about 3%). At the time I’m typing this in my digital pajamas, Ripple’s sitting at $2.2 per coin and fourth place in the crypto Hunger Games, flexing a $130 billion market cap.

To be fair, the whole market caught a cold: total crypto value slipped 0.4% to $2.96 trillion. Don’t act shocked.

But wait—a Greek chorus of market analysts still believes XRP could skyrocket if its ETF gets a green light. Not that crypto drama ever stops—grab your popcorn.
