Celebrations are underway for Wuthering Waves‘ first anniversary, as version 2.3 of the game was launched this week. Alongside this significant milestone, an exciting development occurred – the open-world RPG became accessible through Steam. This inevitably sparked curiosity among the community: Will the game be compatible with Steam Deck, Valve’s portable gaming PC?
As a dedicated fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting news about Wuthering Waves on Steam Deck. And finally, the developer Kuro Games has stepped up, officially addressing this question! They’ve updated the game’s description to let us know they’re actively working on resolving compatibility issues with the Steam Deck and plan to keep us informed through community updates. Exciting times ahead!
At least the players can take comfort in knowing that the team is investigating the problem with Kuro Games, even if there’s no certainty they’ll be able to resolve it.
Among gacha games, Wuthering Waves is known to be quite challenging, which raises questions about its performance on the Steam Deck. However, considering its characteristics, it appears ideally suited for portable gaming.
On Steam’s platform, Infinity Nikki has been newly included, and it performs acceptably on the Steam Deck, making it an excellent demonstration of what WuWa enthusiasts are envisioning for compatible games.
