Pokémon TCG Pocket Rayquaza ex event: All Battle Tasks and rewards

The most recent Pokémon TCG Pocket battle event has arrived, matching the release of the extensive Celestial Guardians expansion! The event spans from today, April 30 to May 13, 2025. This occasion primarily centers around Rayquaza ex, a potent legendary Pokémon that inflicts significant damage and effortlessly fits into any deck.

As a passionate fan, I’m diving into the thrilling Rayquaza EX Drop Event, much like previous Drop events. This time around, I’ll be battling challenging solo duels. Just as with earlier events, my hard-earned victories will reward me with a spectacular Rayquaza EX promo card. Plus, there are new promo cards in a fresh pack to enhance my collection and strengthen my decks!

In Battle Events, you’ll need event-specific energy to join. One energy gem regenerates every 12 hours. It’s good to know that if you lose a battle, no energy is consumed. You can acquire Event Timekeepers, which speed up the energy recovery, by winning battles for the first time, along with some other prizes. Each card clash also includes Battle Missions, finishing which grants extra rewards. Moreover, players can get hold of rare promo cards through Chance Rewards.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Rayquaza ex Drop Event: All Promo Cards

During the Rayquaza EX Drop Event, players who receive Promo Packs will find those cards in their gifts menu on the app’s home page. These packs can be opened individually to reveal one card from a set of five. Every card within these packs has an equal chance of appearing when opened, so the chances of receiving Rayquaza EX or Froakie are both 20%.

Here’s the full list of cards in the Rayquaza ex Drop Event Promo Pack:

  • Exeggcute
  • Froakie
  • Farfetch’d
  • Rayquaza
  • Rayquaza ex

Rayquaza EX stands out as the main attraction, being an excellent fit for most decks due to its Colorless type and Basic Pokemon status. The powerful attack of Rayquaza EX, Draco Meteor, inflicts 160 damage on your opponent’s Pokemon, dividing it into four portions of 40 damage each, randomly chosen targets – a beneficial feature in specific scenarios, although its high energy cost could potentially be a challenge for slower decks.

Noteworthy is the standard Rayquaza, as it lacks a corresponding card in the primary set. Its attack, Spiral Rush, is costly but deals 70 base damage, with the potential for infinite increases if your luck with coin flips holds out. The remaining three cards in the set are merely alternative artwork versions of cards from the main set.
