Pokémon TCG Pocket: Celestial Guardians expansion card list

Just as we mentioned previously, the long-awaited Alola-themed update for the Pokémon TCG Pocket has been launched today, introducing a vast number of fresh cards to your collection!

In the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), the Celestial Guardians expansion introduces a whopping 239 new cards to the Pocket version, split between two booster packs: Solgaleo and Lunala. This makes it the largest expansion yet, surpassing all previous expansions which were typically single-booster limited sets. To put this into perspective, the last two complete expansion packs, Space-Time Smackdown and Genetic Apex, had 207 and 226 cards respectively.

In the game Celestial Guardians, I’ve noticed that certain Pokemon cards can vary between booster packs. For instance, a Rowlet from the Solgaleo pack comes with Leafage as its move, while a Rowlet from the Lunala pack has Skill Dive. This adds some exciting options for deck-building, but it might also lead to a tad of confusion among players, as past sets usually had only one card type per Pokemon – promos aside.

In the Celestial Guardians expansion, there are 239 cards in total. Among these, 155 are regular set cards, 24 are illustration rare cards, and 28 are special illustration rare cards, with 10 of the latter having rainbow borders. Additionally, this set introduces two new immersive rare trainer cards and features 2 ultra-rare cards – one Solgaleo ex card and one Lunala ex card.

Building upon the previous Shining Revelry collection, we have an additional 20 Shiny Rare card options and 8 Shiny Rare EX cards, ensuring that Shiny Pokemon cards remain a lasting feature in the upcoming timeframe.

Keep in mind that Pokemon cards marked with [S] can be found exclusively in Solgaleo booster packs, while those labeled with [L] are exclusive to Lunala booster packs. Cards without a tag next to their name can be found in either booster pack.
