Beyoncé kicked off her long-awaited “Cowboy Carter” world tour at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, starting a 32-date journey that will take her to various locations around the globe. This tour covers nine cities and promises a remarkable experience for fans everywhere. The Los Angeles show offered a sneak peek of the colorful performance, stirring anticipation for the rest of the tour.
At SoFi Stadium, the concert signaled the beginning of the Cowboy Carter tour, an eagerly awaited event approximately one year after Beyoncé debuted her eighth album, according to Variety. This new album, titled Cowboy Carter, offers a distinctive fusion of country music infused with Black heritage, and showcases Beyoncé’s daring musical style.
This project features covers of well-known tunes including Blackbird and Jolene, along with collaborative efforts with notable musicians such as Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, and Shaboozey.
On Christmas Day in 2024, Beyoncé hinted at the Cowboy Carter live event during a unique performance at the Texans-Ravens NFL game. This half-time show, featuring appearances from Shaboozey and Post Malone, attracted over 27 million U.S. viewers on Netflix.
In March 2024, Cowboy Carter, a surprise release, officially came out with the singles “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages”. The first single peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, making Beyoncé the trailblazer as the first Black woman to reach this notable feat.
This year, Beyoncé received three Grammy Awards for her album, among them the coveted Album of the Year title. “I feel so filled and deeply honored,” she expressed during her acceptance speech. “It’s been quite a while, really,” she added. “I simply want to express my gratitude to the Grammys, every songwriter, collaborator, and producer for their tireless efforts.
A standout moment at the Los Angeles event featured Beyoncé’s children, Blue Ivy and Rumi, gracing the stage alongside their mom to deliver extraordinary performances.
