The Last Airbender’:
Samurai Appa and Ronin Momo wander through the Four Lands, rectifying problems as they travel. In “Avatar: The Last Airbender — Noodle Stand Showdown,” they come across a Fire Nation noodle restaurant under siege, with patrons more formidable than the owner prefers. Will the sky bison and winged lemur manage to restore order while potentially earning a meal? Or will they end up fleeing?
Absolutely! Lunch is crucial, especially for Appa and Momo to avoid getting grumpy. We wouldn’t want an angry Appa, but it seems Momo might be the one who needs to stay alert. It’s heartwarming to see how Samurai Appa and Ronin Momo get along in this comic, even though they had their differences in the Avatar: The Last Airbender series. Despite their playful bickering, they are indeed the best of friends. We prefer it when they join forces to combat Fire Nation bullies rather than quarrel with each other. That’s what true friendship is all about—sharing a delicious bowl of ramen together!
To better prepare yourself for the upcoming release of the new “Avatar: The Last Airbender” comic, why not revisit Samurai Appa and Ronin Momo in their classic versions? Here they are!
The comic “Ramen Rumble” is penned by Brandon Hoáng, who also authored “The Crossbow of Destiny”. In this fresh take on “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, the artistry is credited to BellBessa, coloring to C.E. Chant (known for “Field Guide”), and lettering to Jimmy Betancourt from Comicraft (“Ghostbusters: Back in Town”).
If you manage to secure the Free Comic Book Day All Ages issue from Dark Horse Comics on May 3, 2025, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire “Ramen Rumble”.
