Ultimately, within the Mehrunes’ Razor DLC quest in Oblivion Remastered, there’s an option to eat Msirae Faythung’s Beating Heart, which will cause you to turn into both a Vampire and a Cannibal. More specifically, this action gives you Porphyric Hemophilia. After a waiting period of 72 hours, if you choose, you can consume a Potion of Cure Disease to eliminate the Cannibalism.
How to cure Vampirism
To get rid of Vampirism, seek out Raminus Polus, who resides within the Arcane University, specifically in the Imperial City. You can easily locate him in the lobby, so there’s no requirement to become a member of the Mages Guild for access.
Inquire about the matter, and your journey towards discovering a “Vampirism Antidote” begins. Raminus will guide you to Janus Hassildor in Skingrad. He may assist you in brewing the potion if you aid his wife who is also affected. He’ll then direct you to Melisande at Drakelowe, who requests that you gather five empty Grand Soul Gems. To acquire them, it’s suggested to converse with merchants in Mages Guild halls as they often have a few for sale.
Bring the gems to Melisande and she’ll give you a list of ingredients for the potion:
- Ashes of a Powerful Vampire
- Bloodgrass
- Blood of an Argonian
- Garlic
- Nightshade
Collect all of them and take them back to Melisande, who will instruct you to wait an entire day for the potion’s preparation to finish. After 24 hours have passed, return again to receive your own potion. Once consumed, it will reverse your Vampirism, and as a reward, you’ll get an additional, non-reusable potion to give to Hassildor.
Performing such extensive tasks for a cure is quite laborious, but it ensures immunity from future infections, unless manipulated through console commands. By the way, if you’re open to circumventing the game mechanics and instantly get rid of your Vampirism, simply type “player. additem 977E4 1” into the console to receive the potion immediately.
