HoYoverse applies for Honkai: Nexus Anima trademark

HoYoverse has filed for a new trademark in South Korea, aiming to safeguard the ownership of “Honkai: Nexus Anima” across various sectors such as computer game software, music, artwork, e-books, animated content production, and toy manufacturing. Reports from Korean media referencing the application on KIPRIS, the national IP data retrieval system, confirm this. A comparable application has also been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Moreover, it looks like the company has set up social media accounts for their brand this month. In line with their typical HoYoverse style, there seems to be a single global account accompanied by regional branches catering to Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Spain, Germany, France, Brazil, and Russia in their respective languages.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been eagerly speculating about the possibility of a new Honkai game, even though HoYoverse hasn’t made an official announcement yet. However, whispers in the gaming community suggest that they’ve been secretly working on a project that could be a part of the series. The job postings they’ve put out lately hint at some exciting features, like creature collection elements, which have me reminiscing about Pokémon, Palworld, and Azur Promilia. I can hardly wait to see what they unveil!

While Honkai: Nexus Anima might bear some resemblance to the previous project, it’s important to note that HoYoverse often works on multiple projects simultaneously. Not every initiative they’re working on gets announced publicly.

As a devoted fan, I’m eagerly anticipating the potential revelation of Astaweave Haven or Petit Planet, which HoYoverse secured trademarks for last year. With whispers that Petit Planet could be a rebrand of the former and a possible nod to Animal Crossing, I can’t help but feel excited about this long-rumored project from HoYoverse. However, as of now, we’re still waiting for any official announcement regarding Honkai: Nexus Anima, so it looks like we’ll have to stay patient and see what the future holds.
