Actress Sydney Sweeney, known for her captivating performances across various projects, is gearing up to star in a new movie based on the popular video game Split Fiction, according to Variety’s latest update.
According to the article, it is Jon M. Chu who will be leading this project. He’s the same director who did an excellent job with the popular movie starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, titled Wicked.
It’s said that the script for the upcoming project is being written by the skilled writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for their work on the films starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as Deadpool and Wolverine respectively.
The movie featuring Sweeney’s performance is set to be produced by Mike Goldberg and Dimitri M. Johnson’s company, Story Kitchen, along with Chu’s Electric Somewhere, as reported by the outlet. In addition to acting in the upcoming film, Sweeney will also assume the role of executive producer.
It appears that the storyline of Split Fiction is said to blend elements of fantasy and science fiction. The plot centers around two writers, Mio and Zoe, who find themselves intriguingly trapped within the very world they wrote.
The game being referred to is an action-adventure title that features cooperative play, with unique combat strategies, distinct character abilities, and platforming obstacles. At this point, it remains undecided whether the actress from Euphoria will take on the roles of Mio or Zoe.
In terms of her professional endeavors, you’ll find the actress known for Anybody But You appearing in the forthcoming and eagerly awaited productions called Echo Valley and The Maid (or alternatively, The Housemaid).
