In the remastered version of Oblivion, individuals have the chance to finish Sheogorath’s Daedric Quest to acquire the Wabbajack – a humorous artifact that turns enemies into various creatures at random. Although the Wabbajack isn’t the strongest weapon in Oblivion Remastered, its comedic nature and the amusing quest associated with it make it highly desirable for players who want to learn how to complete both.
In the game “Oblivion Remastered,” you can acquire the Wabbajack without necessarily playing the Shivering Isles DLC first. This is because the Wabbajick is a relic from the base game that offers an exciting dose of chaos, courtesy of Sheogorath. Here’s a simplified guide on how to get it:
1. Travel to Bruma, the capital city of Morrowind, in Cyrodiil.
2. Enter the Imperial City Prison and locate the Oblivion Gate that appears there.
3. Go through the gate and fight your way to the Wabbajack, which is guarded by an Oblivion Lord.
4. Defeat the Oblivion Lord to claim the Wabbajack as your own!
Where to Find the Sheogorath Shrine in Oblivion Remastered
To embark on the search for Wabbajack, gamers need to reach at least Level 2 first. Next, make your way to Sheogorath’s Sanctuary, situated on the north-western outskirts of Leyawiin. This can be accessed by traveling along the road leading to Bravil. Upon arrival at Sheogorath’s Sanctuary, players will encounter Ferul Ravel, a devotee of Sheogorath who will guide them in hunting down three particular artifacts. These items are crucial for performing a ritual and communicating with Sheogorath directly. Here is the list of the necessary ritual items:
1. The Mask of Sheogorath
2. The Crown of Sheogorath
3. The Scepter of Sheogorath
- Head of Lettuce
- Lesser Soul Gem
- Yarn
Where to Find Lettuce, Lesser Soul Gem, and Yarn in Oblivion Remastered
Here are three items you’re likely to find at the bustling Market District within the Imperial City. Each item has its designated spot, making it more convenient to collect them all in this area.
Item | Location |
Lettuce | Purchased from Delos Fandas at The Feed Bag, Market District |
Lesser Soul Gem | Purchased from Calindil at Mystic Emporium, Market District |
Yarn | Found within crates and barrels in the open area of the Market District |

After gathering the necessary three sacred items, players have the chance to return to the Temple of Sheogorath. Here, they are able to engage with the temple and place their tributes at the altar. This action will prompt Sheogorath to address the player personally and assign them a mission: causing mischief in the neighboring town of Border Watch. You’ll find this town on your way back to Leyawiin, situated to the south of the Temple of Sheogorath along the west side road.
How to Start the First Prophecy in Oblivion Remastered
How to Get the Orloy Cheese

To initiate Sheogorath’s task, players must locate Ri’Bassa first. This character is a khajiit in black robes. When conversing with him, ask about the K’Sharra Prophecy. It’s crucial to tell him “I am a wandering scholar.” as doing so will improve your relationship with Ri’Bassa, since players require 60 Disposition. After this, inquire about the “Three Signs”, which sets into motion the events needed to fulfill the prophecy.

To fulfill the initial prophecy, gamers should initiate a rat infestation as their first step. They can do this by visiting the Border Watch Inn. Upon arrival, they’ll find the Olroy Cheese in a display case on the right side. Since the case is locked, players have three options to acquire it:
1. Finding the key for the display case.
2. Asking someone who has the key or can unlock it.
3. Waiting for an opportune moment when they can reach inside and take the cheese without a key.
- Lockpick the display case from behind the wooden pillar so that the innkeeper does not see.
- Pickpocket the innkeeper for the key and take the cheese when she is sleeping late at night.
- Kill the innkeeper for the key and the Olroy Cheese without being detected.
After obtaining the Orloy Cheese, players can go back to the central location, which features a cooking pot. Place the cheese inside this pot, then wait patiently for some large rats to appear. As these rats show up, Ri’Bassa will distribute Rat Poison in the area. Follow him closely and gather the Rat Poisons as he lays them down. Keep in mind that Ri’Bassa will only lay down two Rat Poisons.
How to Start the Second Prophecy in Oblivion Remastered
In the second prediction, players are tasked with poisoning some sheep. Once you’ve begun the first prophecy, this task becomes quite straightforward. After initiating the first prophecy, Ri’Bassa will leave Rat Poison on the ground for you to collect. With the Rat Poison now in your possession, proceed past the Border Watch Inn and locate the sheep’s enclosure. Inside, you’ll find a feeding trough in the center. Interact with this trough to add the Rat Poison, causing the sheep to gravitate towards it and ultimately succumb after consuming the tainted food.
How to Start the Third Prophecy in Oblivion Remastered
As the rodent infestation intensifies and the sheep are contaminated, we must initiate the third and concluding prophecy. To participate in this final prophecy, all participants should make their way towards Border Watch’s central point and gaze skyward. Upon looking up, they will be drawn into a cinematic sequence where the sky gradually turns an ominous orange shade, and fiery canines will appear to rain down from above. Following this extraordinary event in Border Watch, players may return triumphantly to Sheogorath’s Shrine with their mission accomplished.
How to Get the Wabbajack in Oblivion Remastered

Upon stepping back into Sheogorath’s sanctuary, the chaotic deity himself acknowledges my madness-induced antics and bestows upon me a unique Daedra relic – the Wabbajack. Now, this unpredictable artifact is mine to keep unless I choose to part ways with it or discard it.
The Wabbajack is an impressive and amusing Daedric Artifact, capable of converting non-NPC entities into various creatures for ten seconds at a time. It’s essentially a whimsical staff that can provide plenty of entertainment, but it lacks effectiveness in dealing with enemies, as its primary function lies in creating absurd situations rather than causing damage.
