The plot for Shawn Levy’s Star Wars: Starfighter is said to have leaked, which stars Ryan Gosling.

At Star Wars Celebration Japan, held this past weekend, we learned about the official title and scheduled release date for a new Star Wars project.

What is the plot leak?

As per Daniel RPK, Shawn Levy’s upcoming film, Star Wars: Starfighter, is said to revolve around a 15-year-old boy embarking on a mission with his uncle (played by Ryan Gosling), all while they are being chased by a pair of antagonists.

Levy has previously taken on and overseen projects similar to ones such as Stranger Things, The Adam Project, and Real Steel, which lends credence to the rumors. Additionally, it seems this new project shares some similarities with the Skeleton Crew series, but instead of featuring Jude Law as a villain alongside a group of children, Ryan Gosling is portraying a heroic character along with his nephew.

What has Lucasfilm said?

According to recent updates, Lucasfilm isn’t sharing much about the storyline yet, but they’ve hinted that the upcoming movie is set around five years after the events depicted in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” Ryan Gosling will be joining the cast as a completely new character.

Star Wars: Starfighter will hit the big screen on Memorial Day weekend of 2027, specifically on May 28th. Filming for the movie is set to begin this coming autumn.
