Gabriel Macht is certain to always recall the initial scenes he shot in Suits L.A., as he once again slipped into the classic character of Harvey Specter, originally from the original Suits series. During filming of the most recent episodes, the actor reflected on this significant experience.
In a chat with People magazine, Macht mentioned that they filmed the initial sequences at Rancho Park, a location where he once played baseball in high school.
Besides expressing his excitement about donning the uniform for the scene and playing basketball, the actor mentioned that it brought back fond memories of reprising his role as Harvey, but also working alongside original showrunner Aaron Korsh and the same directors and writers. He described the experience as “extremely nostalgic.
The artist additionally shared with the media that his father, actor Stephen Macht, was there during filming, making the experience even more unforgettable.
According to reports, the actor from Because I Said So, Macht, mentioned that he told his father, “If you want to see a scene, you should come and watch this one.” He went on to say that his father sat in the stands, where Macht used to be watched as a child. This moment was particularly significant for Macht, as it represented a full circle in his life.
The actor mentioned that returning to shoot his first scenes at such a well-known location felt “Very sentimental in a way” for him. They explained, “Being here again to reprise this character who’s left a mark on the entertainment industry and on public consciousness, and coming back, it created an intriguing dynamic. It was not just nostalgic, but it also felt like closing a loop.
On the spinoff series, the comeback of Harvey Specter adds an extra layer of excitement, causing viewers to share their anticipation enthusiastically on social media platforms.
