Kenji Iwaisawa’s ‘100M’ Anime Film Releases Teaser Trailer, Reveals Cast, Composer, and Premiere Date

Known primarily for penning the acclaimed “Orb: On the Movements of the Earth” book series, which enjoyed great popularity when adapted into an anime, Uoto is not just limited to this work. In fact, he has penned numerous other pieces as well.

In addition to other projects, he has also created the 2017 manga titled “100M“. This work is set to be transformed into an animated movie and will be released towards the end of this year.

A fresh trailer for the forthcoming anime film has been unveiled, revealing that it will hit Japanese cinemas on September 19, 2025. The trailer also shared details regarding the film’s cast and crew members.

It’s been made clear that Kenji Iwaisawa (from ON-GAKU: Our Sound) is set to direct the movie at Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain. The production of the film will be handled by Pony Canyon, TBS TV, and ASMIK Ace. Additionally, we can verify that Keisuke Kojima will take on the roles of character designer and chief animation director, while Keikankun Yamaguchi will serve as the art director. Lastly, Yūsuke Terada, Yūki Katayama, and Akane Taketsugu are among the producers for this project.

Regarding the latest team additions, it’s been verified that Hiroaki Tsutsumi is set to join the film project as the designated composer.

The star duo who’ll be gracing our screens have been unveiled! It means we can now affirm that Tori Matsuzaka will embody the talented sprinter, Togashi, while Shōta Sometani will bring Komiya to life. Komiya is a diligent character whose passion for the 100-meter dash ignited when he encountered Togashi.
