Prince William, Wife and Kids Skip Royal Easter Event Again; Here’s What Family Did Instead Amid Kate Middleton’s Cancer Treatment

Instead of driving 100 miles to Norfolk for an Easter church outing with their family, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children opted for a getaway to their countryside residence. They chose this over the traditional Easter celebration.

On Easter, it’s common for members of the British Royal Family to unite by participating in the Easter Matins ceremonies held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. However, for the past two years, the Prince and Princess of Wales have chosen not to join this family gathering, with their most recent absence occurring in 2023.

Every year since he was young, the Duke of Cornwall has consistently participated in these ceremonies. Unfortunately, William couldn’t attend the service the previous year because of the shocking news about his wife’s cancer diagnosis, which was made public in March 2024. This year, the family opted to celebrate the event in a more intimate setting, away from the public eye, accompanied by their three children.

Based on media reports, it has been disclosed that the children of this family – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – have enthusiastically taken part in longstanding family traditions. These activities include the annual Easter egg hunt and indulging in sweets, particularly chocolates.

In recent weeks, the Prince and Princess of Wales have stepped away from their royal responsibilities to devote additional time to their children during their school holidays.

It is said that a family of five additionally embarked on a vacation in the French Alps. Meanwhile, Prince William and Prince George chose to have a break and attended a match to cheer for their preferred soccer team, Aston Villa.
